About The Position

As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum. The GI and Pain Lab, is a fast-paced, collaborative, team-oriented department that supports gastroenterology, pain management, and bronchoscopy procedures. The area includes 28 pre- and post-procedure rooms, three endoscopy procedure rooms, and two pain rooms, with staff responsible for pre-op, post-op, and intraprocedural RN care, intraprocedural tech support, and endoscope cleaning/reprocessing according to high-level disinfection standards. The department primarily serves adult and geriatric patients who may require sedation, local anesthetic, or occasional IV sedation depending on the procedure. RNs typically work 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday, with on-call responsibilities for holidays, weekends, and weeknight call shifts based on department needs.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association or within 6 months.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous RN OR experience is preferred.
