About The Position
The Registered Nurse works in a collaborative environment with a strong interdisciplinary team focused on a patient-centered care model. Under the direction and general supervision of the Nurse Manager, the nurse uses evidence-based practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, hospital policies and procedures, and medical staff direction. The nurse applies nursing knowledge and the nursing process to develop a plan of care that meets the physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and educational needs of patients and their families.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse license in the state of Connecticut.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Use evidence-based nursing practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, hospital policies and procedures, and direction from the medical staff.
- Apply the nursing process to develop a plan of care addressing patients’ and families’ physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and educational needs.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in a patient-centered care environment.
