Registered Nurse (RN) – PRN Night Shift

About The Position
We are seeking a dependable PRN RN to support our night shift team at Meade District Hospital. This position provides direct patient care, assists providers, and helps ensure a positive patient experience. Occasional charge nurse duties may be assigned. This role offers flexible self-scheduling and requires 1-2 shifts per month in a supportive team environment within a community hospital setting.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program; must have passed NCLEX
- Current Kansas RN license
- Current ACLS, PALS, TNCC (or willingness to renew within 3 months)
- CPR certification every 2 years
- Meets continuing education requirements for licensure
Responsibilities
- Provide quality, patient-centered care
- Follow policies, safety practices, and infection control standards
- Monitor and report patient condition changes
- Assist providers with exams and procedures
- Complete accurate patient documentation
- Administer medications
- Perform thorough patient assessments
- Supervise LPNs, CNAs, and IAs as needed
- Maintain patient confidentiality
- Attend required trainings
- Perform other duties as assigned
