Registered Nurse, Overflow PCU Days Baptist South

This role involves providing patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation), organizing and supervising supportive personnel, and coordinating care with ancillary services. It includes educating patients and their families about their conditions and care plans, serving as a patient advocate, and caring for patients with various medical, surgical, chronic, or minor injury/illness conditions. The position is for an experienced Registered Nurse on the Day Shift in the PCU at Baptist South.
Requirements
- 1-2 years Cardiac Experience
- 1-2 years Telemetry Experience
- Hospital Experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
- Licensed Registered Nurse Required
- Associate of Science in Nursing Or Diploma Nurse
Nice To Haves
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferred
- Conscious Sedation Certification Preferred
- Certified Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) Preferred
- Bachelor of Arts/Science (BA/BS)
Responsibilities
- Provide care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses
- Embrace and uphold the hospital mission statement
- Educate patients and families to their disease process and plan of care
- Interact with physicians and other departments within the hospital
- Serve as patient advocate
- Participate in staff meetings and other unit activities
