About The Position

The Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance (HPHA) is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Critical Care (Intensive Care Unit) department at Stratford General Hospital in Stratford, Ontario. HPHA is a multi-site organization committed to proactive change, partnerships, and valuing its people to advance the healthcare system. This is a temporary part-time position.

Requirements

• Current registered member in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Recent Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia course, or equivalent (current experience)
• Recent 12-lead ECG interpretation course, or equivalent (current experience)
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Recognized Critical Care certificate required
• Minimum of 2 years recent clinical nursing experience in a hospital setting required
• A minimum of 5 years experience in an Intensive Care Unit as an equivalent required
• Ability to plan, organize and problem solve
• Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as a team member
• Working knowledge of Meditech Information System and personal computer applications

Nice To Haves

• Recognized Critical Care Certificate
• CNCC(C)
• Minimum of 2 years recent clinical nursing experience in a hospital setting and willing to obtain Critical Care certificate within one (1) year of hire required
