Regions Hospital is seeking a registered nurse for its busy Postpartum Unit. The hospital emphasizes patient and family-centered bedside care, evidence-based nursing practice, and interdisciplinary collaboration with physicians, midwives, residents, and students. Nurses are empowered to manage their clinical practice and working environment through a Shared Governance Model. New-hire registered nurses receive individualized orientation and are automatically enrolled in the Transition to Regions Hospital Practice nurse residency program, which supports learning, role transition, and retention. Its Level 2 NICU includes 8 beds across 7 private rooms, with adjoining family spaces and bathrooms. Regions Hospital also uses an Enhanced Couplet Care model, with 5 Postpartum rooms outfitted for certain NICU babies to remain with their families. The Birth Center has approximately 2,800 births annually; 15–20% of babies require some NICU-level care. The hospital serves a diverse patient population, with 60% of patients being people of color and 25% requiring interpreters. This position is scheduled for 0.70 FTE on nights, working 11:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m. in 8-hour shifts, with every other weekend rotation.
