About The Position

Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple, TX is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to join their Observation Unit. This 31-bed nursing unit serves a wide variety of patients ranging in age from Adults to Geriatrics. The goal for these patients is to diagnose, monitor, and treat them within 36 hours. The conditions within the scope of service for the Observation Unit include chest pain, CHF, syncope, dehydration, and abdominal-gastrointestinal conditions.

Requirements

• Graduate of RN School of Nursing
• ADN required
• Active RN License
• Minimum of 6 Months of RN experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire or transfer.
• Grad of an Accredited Program
• Specialized field of study should be nursing.
• RN license.
• Must have BLS certification or get it within 30 days of starting in this role.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, monitor, and treat patients within 36 hours.
• Provide care for patients with conditions including chest pain, CHF, syncope, dehydration, and abdominal-gastrointestinal conditions.
• Work with a wide variety of patients ranging in age from Adults to Geriatrics.
