About The Position
This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Oncology department at the Endeavor Health Cancer Center in Plainfield, IL. The role is full-time, requiring 40 hours per week, with typical hours from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm. The position also involves working approximately two Saturdays and being on call for two Saturdays within a six-month period. Occasional travel to the Naperville Cancer Center may be required.
Requirements
- Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure, required.
- Associate's in Nursing, required.
- Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association, required.
- Minimum of 1 year of Oncology Outpatient Infusion Center experience required; If no oncology experience, ED, ICU, PACU experience highly preferred.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's in Nursing, strongly preferred
- OCN/ONS provider card preferred.
Responsibilities
- Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for a patient population on a specific unit
- Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care
- Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care
- Communicate and collaborate with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care
- Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience
