About The Position

The Registered Nurse assesses human responses and plans, implements and evaluates nursing care for individuals or families for whom the nurse is responsible. The Registered Nurse is fully responsible for all actions as a licensed nurse and is accountable to patients for the quality of care delivered. This role is within the Critical Care/Burn Unit at West Penn Hospital, a 14-bed unit caring for both Burn and wound patients, including pediatric to adult burn injuries. The AHN West Penn Burn Center is the only verified burn center in Western Pennsylvania for both adult and pediatric care, offering comprehensive patient care from injury through rehabilitation, including outpatient services, advanced wound care, mental health counseling, and rehabilitation programs. West Penn Hospital is a Magnet® recognized facility with private patient rooms and free employee parking.

Requirements

Minimum Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
Current State of PA RN licensure OR Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
CPR certification
