About The Position
To fulfill the needs of patients in a variety of age groups, their family members, and the community by performing varied patient care tasks and functions in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements. The position is based at Luckow Pavilion and works the day shift.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
- Current and valid New Jersey license, or legal permission to work from the New Jersey Board of Nursing.
- Completion of general nursing orientation, CPR certification, and unit-based orientation.
- Computer and keyboard skills.
- Medical terminology knowledge.
- Effective oral and written communication skills in English, including clear speech and the ability to understand information relayed.
- Deductive and inductive reasoning skills.
- Ability to perform work accurately, pay attention to detail, and move between tasks without loss of efficiency or composure.
- Ability to work cooperatively with multidisciplinary team members.
- Ability to use effective time management to set priorities, solve problems, and deliver care.
Responsibilities
- Perform varied patient care tasks and functions in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist patients physically as needed and deliver care while setting priorities, solving problems, and using effective time management.
- Work cooperatively with health system and multidisciplinary team members.
- Adapt to stressful situations and a changing work environment related to the needs of patients with acute, chronic, complex, and/or terminal disease processes.
