About The Position
Seeking a Registered Nurse for the Intensive Care Unit at Baptist Health Floyd. This is a full-time position working 36 hours per week on day shifts (7am-7pm). The role involves direct, comprehensive nursing care for patients from admission to discharge, functioning as an on-shift team member to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers. The Intensive Care Unit is a 16-bed adult medical ICU providing specialized care for critically ill patients with conditions such as stroke, sepsis, shock states with or without multi-organ failure, and respiratory failure. New graduate RNs are welcome.
Requirements
- Current Indiana or compact state RN license.
- BLS for Healthcare Provider required.
- ACLS Certification required (obtained within 12 months of hire).
- NIHSS Stroke Certification required (Obtained within 10 weeks of hire).
Responsibilities
- Responsible and accountable for direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge.
- Function as an on-shift team member providing direct patient care to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers.
