About The Position

United Energy Workers Healthcare is seeking dedicated and empathetic Registered Nurses to provide in-home health care to energy workers. The role offers a flexible, independent work environment and the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with patients through holistic, personalized care. Nurses work directly with patients in their homes and coordinate care according to each patient’s plan of care, approved hours, schedule, and preferences. The position is paid at a rate of $48.00–$50.00 per hour and is engaged as a 1099 independent contractor.

Requirements

Valid, active RN license in the state of practice.
Willingness to travel to patients’ homes.
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
Current BLS Certification.
Ability to pass state and federal background checks.
Professional liability coverage is required.
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
Warm, empathetic approach to patient care.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough patient assessments and provide personalized, comprehensive care.
Educate patients and families about health maintenance and disease prevention.
Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as needed, with dignity and respect.
Coordinate schedules directly with patients in accordance with their plan of care, approved hours, and preferences.
Monitor and promptly report changes in patient symptoms or behavior.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the treating physician.
Communicate and coordinate with Case Managers, collaborating physicians, and specialists.
Maintain accurate patient records in the EMR system.
Provide advice and emotional support to patients and family members.
Prepare and provide clear clinical notes and charting.
