Registered Nurse- Med/Surg, Acute Care
About The Position
The Registered Nurse provides safe, direct patient care on the Medical/Surgical Unit using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The role includes directing and guiding patient and family teaching and the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care. The nurse is directly responsible and accountable for care provided to assigned patients, communicates changes in clinical condition to physicians, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptoms, and responds quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or treatment response. This is a full-time night-shift position at Central Maine Medical Center. A sign-on bonus of up to $20,000 is available for qualified candidates; eligibility and payout terms apply and are discussed during the interview process.
Requirements
- Current and valid state RN license.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
Nice To Haves
- Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintained current; preferred.
- Previous acute-care hospital experience.
- Ventilator management experience.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Responsibilities

- Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment.
