About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers patient-centered nursing care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care in collaboration with the healthcare team. The role supports patient safety, quality, and continuity of care across clinical settings, optimal patient outcomes, and compliance with regulatory standards. The RN also performs other duties as assigned and carries out responsibilities in alignment with Kettering Health's mission, vision, values, and B Safe program.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with an Associate Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, or ability to obtain it within 30 days of hire.
• Proficiency in patient assessment, care planning, and clinical documentation.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patient assignments.
• Ability to collaborate within interdisciplinary care teams.
• Commitment to patient safety, confidentiality, and infection control standards.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and regulatory requirements.
• Nursing competencies based on ACHC standards or department-specific needs and specialties.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• One year of clinical nursing experience in an acute care or relevant specialty setting.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification or specialty certification applicable to the clinical area.
