PRN Registered Nurse, Outpatient Surgery

NAVISTA•Fairbanks, AK
•$37 - $58•Onsite

About The Position

Cardinal Health is seeking a flexible, team-oriented Registered Nurse to work PRN at its small, single-operating-room Ambulatory Surgery Center in Fairbanks, Alaska. The center specializes in outpatient urologic procedures for Fairbanks Urology patients and works closely with two urologists, anesthesia personnel, and nursing staff. Surgeries are currently scheduled on Wednesdays, and Wednesday availability is strongly preferred. This PRN role has no guaranteed hours; scheduling varies with the surgical schedule, patient volume, and operational needs. Cases begin early, and shifts may last a few hours or up to 12 hours, with end times depending on procedure completion and patients’ safe transition through recovery. Some Wednesdays may not require staffing, so flexibility with scheduling and shift length is essential. The RN provides and documents patient care, supports patients and families, promotes safe and quality care, collaborates with the multidisciplinary team, and helps maintain equipment and supplies. The position is located at Denali Biomedical, 2485 Chief Williams Dr, Fairbanks, AK 99709.
