Registered Nurse (RN) – Hospice / Palliative Care – Overnight Shifts AVAILABLE NOW!!! ATC Healthcare Staffing is urgently hiring Hospice and Palliative Care RNs for overnight shifts (7pm–7am) in Jacksonville, Fernandina Beach, and St. Johns County, FL . We are seeking compassionate, experienced nurses who are flexible and willing to cover multiple facilities within the service area when needed. This is a great opportunity for nurses who are passionate about end-of-life care, patient comfort, and family support , and who thrive working independently during overnight hours. Position Details Full-time and Part-time available Flexible scheduling Start Date: ASAP Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM Locations: Jacksonville, Fernandina Beach, St. Johns County, FL Job Summary Hospice / Palliative Overnight RNs provide specialized end-of-life care, symptom management, and emotional support to patients and their families during overnight hours, often working 12-hour shifts across multiple facilities as needed.

Requirements

Active Florida RN License (required)
Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to work independently overnight
Excellent communication and compassion for patients and families
Willingness to travel between assigned facilities when needed

Nice To Haves

Hospice or Palliative Care experience preferred

Responsibilities

Monitor, assess, and manage symptoms such as pain, nausea, and breathing difficulty
Administer medications and provide comfort care
Reposition patients and assist with skin integrity / pressure prevention
Respond to urgent situations and provide crisis care when needed
Support patients and families emotionally and spiritually
Educate families on disease progression and care plans
Maintain accurate documentation and communicate with physicians and care team
Follow all facility and ATC Healthcare policies and procedures
