About The Position

Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, Minnesota, is hiring a Registered Nurse for its 4th Floor Ortho Spine unit, a 26-bed adult medical/surgical unit focused on patients undergoing total joint replacements and spinal surgeries. The unit emphasizes a supportive, collaborative, team-oriented culture and patient-centered care. The Registered Nurse assesses, plans, delivers, and evaluates nursing care for assigned patient populations in accordance with policies, procedures, professional practice guidelines, and the Minnesota Nurse Practice Act. The RN coordinates care with the healthcare team and delegates responsibilities as appropriate. This position is scheduled for 60 hours every two weeks, working 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with every third weekend (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday).

Requirements

Minnesota Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
One year of experience.

Responsibilities

Assess patient needs and identify expected nursing outcomes.
Collaborate with patients, families, and other healthcare team members to develop a nursing plan as part of an integrated, comprehensive plan of care.
Develop an individualized plan based on age, social and cultural considerations, condition, and other relevant needs.
Evaluate care, patient responses to interventions, and expected outcomes.

Advance care through the use of standards, guidelines, care pathways, and continuous improvement to enhance patient outcomes.
