About The Position

The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. The role includes carrying out care plans and treatments, documenting care, monitoring and communicating patient conditions, assisting patients with daily activities, coordinating care across disciplines, educating patients and families, and advocating for patients’ physical and emotional well-being.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing, or Nursing Diploma program.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• CPR/BCLS certification.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

• ACLS certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform plan-of-care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care.
• Document patient care provided.
• Monitor and record patient conditions, and communicate updates as appropriate to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and spiritual or psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluate patient and/or family learning needs and provide education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Advocate for patients’ physical and emotional well-being.
