About The Position
This position will be based at our brand-new comprehensive healthcare center, coming to the historic Kensington and Bailey intersection, opening July 2026! The Registered Nurse provides patient-focused nursing in our primary and specialty care clinic. They are part of a collaborative medical team providing the highest quality of care. The Registered Nurse assesses the physical and psychosocial status of patients by means of interview, health history and physical examinations.
Requirements
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in New York State
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in writing and verbally
- Familiarity with computers and MS software (Outlook, Word)
- Familiarity with electronic charting system, Medent preferred
- Awareness of and sensitivity to the issues and health disparities faced by underserved populations is essential
Nice To Haves
- One (1) year of experience in a medical office setting
- Experience with HIV/AIDS or other infectious disease practice
- Demonstrated phlebotomy skills
Responsibilities
- Facilitates patient continuity of care with the healthcare team in an efficient and timely manner
- Collaborates with and supports team members to ensure a patient-focused approach to care
- Renders health education regarding different treatment options
- Provides patients with information on prescribed therapies and discusses expectations
- Assists with rooming patients as needed
- Administers medication and provides treatment prescribed by provider
- Performs immunizations and injections
- Works in collaboration with other RNs to ensure clinic duties, tasks, and coverage are completed
- Utilizes Clear Triage, adhering to established procedures and protocols for all sick and or symptomatic patients
