About The Position

Provides safe, efficient, age-specific nursing care to patients and families using the nursing process to assist them in attaining, maintaining, regaining, and sustaining optimal health status. This role involves implementing the nursing process by delivering effective relationship-based nursing care, demonstrating technical skills for safe practice and positive outcomes, and communicating clearly and collaborating effectively to optimize patient care and clinical operations. The position also requires self-development and contribution to the professional practice of nursing, displaying leadership that influences optimal clinical and operational outcomes. The nurse will perform other duties as assigned, comply with all policies and standards, and abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI). Specific duties and responsibilities will be provided during orientation. This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, supporting North Olmsted and surrounding areas with 100% travel to patients' homes for care.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Nursing or (ADN) Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
  • Knowledge of nursing process and practice required proficiency.
  • Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed clinical therapies (i.e. stethoscopes, thermometers).
  • Registered Nurse (RN), Ohio and/or Multi State Compact License Required Upon Hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required Upon Hire.

Nice To Haves

  • (BSN) Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • (MN) Master in Nursing preferred.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) May be required based on the clinical care standards of the unit.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) May be required based on the clinical care standards of the unit.

Benefits

  • Sign-on Bonus: $6000 sign-on bonus to eligible candidates (newly hired to UH with at least 1yr of RN experience). Internal Applicants are not eligible.
