The Registered Nurse will uphold professional standards of practice, the Nurse Practice Act, and the mission and goals of Community Health Network. This role involves managing patient care across the healthcare continuum to achieve optimal, safe, and cost-effective outcomes. The Registered Nurse will utilize skills in collaboration, delegation, negotiation, and resource management. Specifically, the RN at Fairbanks will provide care to adult patients voluntarily seeking treatment for substance use disorders as their primary diagnosis. Responsibilities include conducting nursing assessments, COWS/CIWA assessments, obtaining physician orders, collecting laboratory samples, administering medications, performing point-of-care testing (including blood glucose checks), performing dressing changes, administering IVs, and providing breathing treatments as needed.

Requirements

  • Graduate of National League for Nursing (NLN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), or National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA) accredited school of nursing, or three years of related professional nursing experience
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license to practice in the state of Indiana as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)
