About The Position

The Registered Nurse in Hematology/Stem Cell Transplant (8 Webber North) delivers quality nursing care using the nursing process and collaborates with healthcare team members to maintain professional nursing practice standards. The nurse carries out responsibilities in accordance with hospital policy and mission, and professional and regulatory guidelines. The role directs, coordinates, and delegates activities to promote patient- and family-centered care. This is a per diem day-shift position with variable biweekly hours; daily work times are 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Requirements

• Associate degree from a certified nursing program.
• Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse license.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from a certified nursing program.
• Oncology experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ physical, psychosocial, and educational needs.
• Plan and implement nursing care according to patient and family needs.
• Make appropriate interventions based on individual patient needs.
• Evaluate patient responses to nursing interventions.
• Take personal responsibility for quality patient care, patient satisfaction, the care environment, and professional development.
