About The Position

The Registered Nurse delivers nursing care within the assigned unit’s scope of practice, following hospital policies and procedures, nursing process guidelines, and standards of care and practice. In the Operating Room, the nurse assesses assigned patients, plans and implements care, provides patient teaching, evaluates patient responses, documents care, and takes appropriate corrective action. The nurse also oversees ancillary personnel performing technical tasks.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse license.
American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification as a Healthcare Provider.
ACLS certification required within six months of hire.
Experience specific to the unit or position may be required to maintain the unit’s overall competency level, as required by a regulatory agency.
Experience in the specialty area will be considered.

Responsibilities
