Registered Nurse OR Circulator Full Time
About The Position
Northwest Surgical Hospital is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse to work as an Operating Room Circulator. Under general supervision, the RN provides direct nursing care in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and care standards. In collaboration with patients, their families, and other healthcare team members, the nurse manages and delivers patient care in the intraoperative setting using the nursing process. The RN also assists the anesthesiologist and surgeon with patient-related care activities and works as a team member throughout the facility. Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited RN school of nursing.
- Current Registered Nurse licensure with the State of Oklahoma.
- AHA BLS Healthcare certification required within 30 days of hire if not currently certified.
- AHA ACLS and PALS certifications required within 120 days of hire if not currently certified.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of one year of experience as an OR Circulator preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide care to surgical patients in the operating room according to policies, procedures, and care standards.
- Maintain knowledge of medications, equipment, expected patient outcomes during surgery, and anticipated complications.
- Coordinate patient care with the multidisciplinary team.
- Act to protect and advance patients’ best interests.
- Demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the role and continually demonstrate competency in job duties.
- Assist the anesthesiologist and surgeon with patient-related care activities.
- Work as a team member within the entire facility.
