About The Position

Montello Manor in Lewiston, Maine, is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide high-quality nursing care and promote resident well-being in a long-term care setting. The role involves assessing residents, administering medications and treatments, documenting care, responding to emergencies, and supporting nursing assistants. The position offers hourly pay of $35.00–$40.00 based on experience, flexible scheduling, and a range of benefits.

Requirements

Valid Registered Nurse license to practice in the State of Maine.
Knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures, including sanitation and decontamination, and commitment to following them.
Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
Collaborative approach and responsible, compassionate, and patient manner.
Ability to reliably commute to Lewiston, Maine, or plan to relocate there.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of nursing experience in a long-term care or geriatric setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor residents’ conditions, assess their needs, observe and interpret symptoms, and communicate with physicians to develop individualized care plans.
Adjust and administer medications, perform routine procedures such as taking vital signs and giving injections, and carry out physician-recommended treatment plans.
Complete patient charts and electronic medical records accurately.
Inspect facilities and maintain hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards, including decontaminating equipment and preparing beds.
Provide immediate medical care during emergencies.
Supervise and train nursing assistants.
Foster a supportive and compassionate environment for residents and their families.
