Responsible for the planning, delivery, management and evaluation of direct patient care utilizing the nursing process and adhering to the standards of nursing practice. Requirements

• Completion of an accredited school of nursing program.
• Current Massachusetts licensure and registration.
• Thorough knowledge of the discipline of Nursing.
• At least 1 year experience in Medical/ Surgical nursing.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• BLS is a requirement for every RN unless an advance certification is current (ex ACLS, PALS, NRP). In addition, unit specific certification and competencies are defined in the Unit Profile.

Nice To Haves

• BSN
• Minimum of 1 year experience in desirable field.
• Unless certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements.

Responsibilities

• Initiates and implements nursing interventions as directed.
• Evaluates patient progress as indicated or required.
• Documents patient care according to standard procedure.
