About The Position

The 4-West Progressive Care Registered Nurse is a member of the Patient Care Services team and provides comprehensive, compassionate nursing care to adolescent and adult patients who need enhanced monitoring and support beyond the medical-surgical level but do not require Intensive Care Unit care. The Progressive Care unit has six beds, cutting-edge monitoring technology, and amenities intended to support patient comfort and safety during recovery. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 3:1.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with an ASN or BSN.
• Be a Registered Nurse licensed in New Hampshire.
• Have 2+ years of RN cardiac telemetry experience.

Nice To Haves

• 2+ years of progressive care or critical care RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and implement priority-based nursing care, establishing goals to meet their needs.
• Integrate patient values, best practices, and evidence into patient care.
• Engage patients and/or families in care delivery.
• Practice competently within the scope of practice.
• Use communication practices appropriate to the needs of the team and situation.
