About The Position

Exceptional Care for Children provides specialized, compassionate long-term care for children and young adults with complex medical needs. We foster a warm, vibrant environment focused on life quality, developmental growth, and specialized clinical support. We are expanding and seeking compassionate Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our team for the opening of our brand-new unit. In this role, you will be part of a pioneering team delivering high-quality clinical care to our residents. You will manage complex medical technology, administer medications, and build meaningful, long-term bonds with patients and their families in an innovative, supportive setting.

Requirements

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Delaware (or multi-state compact license).
1+ year of nursing experience preferred.
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Current BLS/CPR certification required.
Strong clinical judgment, empathy, adaptability, and a genuine passion for working with youth.

Nice To Haves

Pediatric, NICU, PICU, or ventilator/complex care background is a plus.
PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive head-to-toe assessments, wound care, and respiratory support.
Safely manage ventilators, tracheostomies, G-tubes, and central lines.
Safely administer medications and IV therapies in accordance with physician orders.
Develop, evaluate, and update individualized pediatric care plans.
Partner with therapists, educators, and physicians to achieve developmental and clinical milestones.
Offer ongoing guidance, education, and compassionate communication to families.
