About The Position

The Medical Infusion Center Registered Nurse delivers patient care through assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN directs and coordinates nursing care based on established clinical nursing practice standards and collaborates with other professional disciplines to support effective, efficient care and desired patient outcomes. This position is part of the Massachusetts Nurses Association Bargaining Unit at Cooley Dickinson Hospital and reports to the Nurse Manager/Director. The role operates within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Other Certificate/Diploma in Nursing required; a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred. Experience cannot be substituted for a degree.
• Current Registered Nurse license in Massachusetts required.
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• One year of Medical/Surgical experience required.
• Complete education and demonstrate clinical competence to practice Therapeutic Phlebotomy within 3 months of hire.
• Administration of Chemotherapy.
• Port Access skills required.
• Demonstrated excellent technical, interpersonal, organizational, oral, and written communication skills.
• Additional unit-specific education and experience requirements may be outlined in the unit addendum.

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
