About The Position
We are seeking a Full-time RN for our plasma donor clinic in Bronx, NY. This is a unique nursing role conducting initial health assessments of potential blood donors to ensure their suitability for plasma donation. The RN will do donor intake, perform vitals, a finger-stick, and a head-to-toe medical exam. Qualified donors who pass the assessment will then be sent to the phlebotomy team for their blood donation, and donors who don't meet the requirements will be counselled by the nurse as to what measures need to be taken to qualify for donation next time.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) qualification
- Ability to perform vitals, finger-stick, and medical exams
- Willingness to counsel donors on qualification requirements
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
