About The Position

The Registered Nurse works in the Orthopedic department at Seton Medical Center Austin in Austin, Texas, on a full-time night shift. The nurse implements and monitors patient care plans, monitors and records patient conditions, and communicates relevant information as appropriate. The role coordinates care across disciplines, carries out physician and nursing orders, and assesses and coordinates discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse credential from the Texas Board of Nursing, obtained before the hire date or job transfer date.
• BLS Provider certification obtained within 30 days of the hire date or job transfer date; American Heart Association or American Red Cross certification is accepted.
• Diploma from an accredited school or college of nursing, or required professional licensure at the time of hire.

• One year of RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines to support well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
