About The Position
The Registered Nurse will work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care in a compassionate and supportive environment. The ideal candidate must have clinical experience in labor and delivery and a commitment to providing exceptional care to women throughout all stages of life.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Current unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Arizona.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical experience in labor and delivery
- BLS required
- Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to make independent nursing judgments.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care and promoting women's health and wellness.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' health status, including medical history, vital signs, and physical examinations.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patients' needs, preferences, and treatment goals.
- Provide patient education and counseling on topics such as prenatal care, family planning, contraception, menopause, and women's health maintenance.
- Offer guidance and support to patients and their families regarding healthcare decisions and treatment options.
- Assist with antenatal testing, including monitoring NSTs
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including nursing assessments, care plans, progress notes, and documentation of patient education and counseling.
- Ensure compliance with documentation standards and regulatory requirements.
- Advocate for patients' rights, preferences, and needs within the healthcare system, ensuring respectful and patient-centered care.
- Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and families facing challenging healthcare situations.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare team members, including physicians, nurse practitioners, medical assistants, and support staff.
- Communicate relevant patient information, care plans, and treatment outcomes to healthcare team members in a clear and concise manner.
