About The Position
This individual is responsible for the daily clinical aspect functioning to meet all residents’ needs. The Registered Nurse - Skilled Nursing role is a full-time position working evenings. The company, Senior Lifestyle, emphasizes HEART: Hospitality, Excellence, Appreciation, Respect & Teamwork.
Requirements
- An Associate’s Degree or equivalent from a two year college or technical school, or two years related experience and/or training equivalent combination of education and applicable experience.
- Nursing as an area of study.
- 1+ years of experience in a skilled, sub-acute, or memory care setting.
- A Registered Nurse’s License current, with no judgments against it, in the state in which he/she is practicing.
- CPR certified.
- Acceptable fluency in English in order to perform job duties and speak, read, write, and communicate with supervisors, coworkers, residents, and applicable third parties.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Medication supervision/administration in compliance with Federal & State regulations and Senior Lifestyle Corporation guidelines.
- Admissions of new residents to include all admission assessments and documentation.
- Completing acute and long-term care plans or service plans.
- Clinical system tracking (i.e. wounds or infection control) under the direction of the Director of Nursing.
- Discharges, assessments, and clinical documentation as indicated.
- Provide general consultation regarding health-related concerns within the community.
- Notify physicians and/or family members of any change in resident’s health and provides proper documentation.
- Respond quickly to all emergencies.
- Maintain close communication with all departments and staff members.
- Maintain confidentiality of residents’ and prospective residents’ information.
- Understand role in the Safety & Disaster Plan.
- Provide educational meetings for residents and staff.
