Registered Nurse (RN) - MS Telemetry
About The Position
The Registered Nurse provides high-quality, safe, cost-effective, comprehensive nursing care. The RN coordinates the patient’s overall experience and integrates patient care using the nursing process. The role delivers patient-focused care in accordance with safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection-control standards, with the goal of discharging patients after providing an optimum level of care. This position is on the Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit and works night shifts. It is full-time. Qualified candidates may receive a sign-on bonus of up to $15,000, paid over 24 months.
Requirements
- Education recognized by the State of Florida as qualifying for Registered Nurse licensure.
- Registered Nurse license in the State of Florida.
- American Heart Association BLS certification.
- For telemetry and higher-acuity units: ACLS certification from the American Heart Association and basic EKG interpretation are required.

Responsibilities
- Complete comprehensive assessments based on individual patient needs.
- Evaluate patient care and adjust nursing processes to support optimal outcomes.
- Develop patient plans of care based on identified needs, in conjunction with the medical treatment plan and a multidisciplinary approach.
- Continuously reassess patients, including their response to treatment and changes in condition or diagnosis.
- Provide care and update plans of care based on identified needs.
- Maintain legible patient documentation in accordance with hospital policies.
- Delegate patient-care responsibilities to assigned caregivers based on patient needs and staff competencies.
- Facilitate compliance with evidence-based practice standards for core measures and National Patient Safety Goals.
- Use critical-thinking skills to anticipate or respond to patient-care situations.
- Coordinate ordered diagnostic and therapeutic services.
- Perform IV skills, including starting IVs.
- Use and troubleshoot patient-care equipment.
