About The Position

Join the dedicated nursing team at Pomperaug Woods and Seabury at Pomperaug Woods, where we are committed to providing exceptional resident-centered care in a supportive and collaborative environment. We are seeking Per Diem Registered Nurses (RNs) to provide professional nursing care to residents in our Health Center and support our mission of fostering dignity, independence, and quality of life for every resident.
Requirements
- Current Connecticut Registered Nurse (RN) License.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a healthcare team.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
Nice To Haves
- Long-term care, skilled nursing, or senior living experience.
- Experience with electronic medical records (PCC).
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care according to individualized resident care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Assess resident conditions and monitor for changes in health status.
- Perform resident assessments, documentation, and charting accurately and timely.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Supervise and support nursing assistants to ensure quality resident care.
- Respond to resident needs and emergencies with professionalism and compassion.
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and continuity of care.
- Promote a culture of respect, dignity, safety, and resident-centered service.
- Model and support our CARES values in all interactions.
