About The Position

This is a Full Time Day Shift position for a Registered Nurse at TriHealth Bethesda North Hospital. The role involves providing direct patient care, developing and implementing care plans, administering medications, and collaborating with the healthcare team. The position emphasizes professional development, collaboration, and a strong nursing culture, encouraging continuous learning, specialty certifications, community involvement, and evidence-based practice.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree - Nursing (Required)
  • New hires required to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire. (Required)
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience required
  • Registered Nurse Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
  • Knowledge, judgment, and skills derived from the principles of biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences to meet complex health care needs at various stages of the life cycle

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Pre-Op, PACU, OR or a similar setting is preferred
  • Circulating and scrubbing experience is preferred
  • ACLS PALS may be required but is dependent on unit or department Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform initial and ongoing patient/family assessments and document per guidelines.
  • Develop, implement, and update individualized plans of care based on patient needs and expected outcomes.
  • Provide safe, ethical, patient‑centered care while supporting dignity, diversity, and autonomy.
  • Prioritize care based on patient condition and unit needs.
  • Safely administer medications and treatments; perform technical skills per policy.
  • Recognize and respond to emergencies, initiating appropriate interventions.
  • Evaluate patient responses to care and revise plans in collaboration with the care team.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Supervise delegated tasks and ensure quality care delivery.
  • Participate in organizational activities such as committees, staff meetings, and unit initiatives.
  • Support student learning and staff development; serve in leadership roles as needed.
  • Maintain professional competence through continuing education and self‑assessment.
  • Build collaborative, collegial relationships across the healthcare team.
  • Identify and act on opportunities for process improvement.
