About The Position

Riverton Hospital, part of the Yorke and Northern Local Health Network, is seeking a Registered Nurse for a permanent 3.33 FTE position. This dynamic hospital has 7 acute beds and 17 RAC aged care beds, serving the local community and surrounding areas. The role offers exposure to a variety of patient presentations, including emergency retrieval, low priority attendances, palliation, and long-term aged care. Located in the scenic town of Riverton, South Australia, the position provides an engaging and fulfilling opportunity within a friendly and peaceful community. Requirements

  • Registration or eligibility for enrolment as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • Hold, or be eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
  • Undergo employment screening.
  • Meet immunisation requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a variety of patient presentations including emergency retrieval, low priority attendances, palliation, and long-term aged care.
  • Develop and maintain skills in triage, acute emergency, mental health, and palliation.
  • Provide nursing care in the attached residential aged care facility.
  • Take on additional portfolios such as blood management, palliative care, education of students, work health and safety, and infection control.
  • Contribute to a positive culture and team environment.
  • Provide high-quality, person-centred care.
