Join the Post-Surgical Care I (PSC1) team, an exceptional inpatient unit dedicated to the care of acute care surgery, trauma surgery, and both adult and pediatric bariatric surgery patients. Our unit provides comprehensive support for individuals both before and after surgery, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal outcomes. Recognized as a Bariatric Center of Excellence and a proud partner in the Emergency General Surgery (EGS) Verification Program, we are committed to delivering standardized, high-quality general surgery care. Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current RN licensure in an appropriate state.
  • BSN is required. RN candidates for external hire or internal promotion without BSN must be enrolled in a BSN program within 1 year of hire/transfer date and must complete program within 3 years of enrollment in the program.
  • Appropriate professional certification (either clinical or leadership) is required within 1 year of eligibility of professional certification exam.

Nice To Haves

  • Minium two years nursing experience preferred.
  • Previous management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
