About The Position

Hospice Home Care, an affiliate of Adoration Health, is seeking a dedicated Hospice Admissions Registered Nurse in Hot Springs, Arkansas. The role provides patient-centered hospice care and support to patients and families at a critical time. The nurse visits referred patients in homes, hospitals, nursing facilities, and other settings; explains hospice services and discusses care goals; and coordinates the start of hospice services. Hospice Home Care emphasizes a holistic approach that manages pain and other symptoms while providing emotional and spiritual support to families. Its services include routine home care, respite, general inpatient care, and continuous care.

The posted schedule is Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The position offers independent work with team support, flexible scheduling options, and benefits that may vary by employment status.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Current licensure to practice in the state of operation.
• One year of hospice nursing experience; experience in a similar setting such as long-term care, intensive care, or an emergency room may be considered instead.
• Licensed driver with an automobile that is insured according to state or organizational requirements and in good working order.

Nice To Haves

• Three or more years of hospice nursing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Visit patients referred for hospice care in homes, hospitals, nursing facilities, and other settings.
• Explain hospice services, discuss goals and care with patients and families, answer questions, and obtain necessary consents and legal documents.
• Obtain medical history, current medications, and information about symptoms.
• Perform comprehensive clinical assessments to determine hospice eligibility under Medicare or insurance guidelines.
• Coordinate the start of services, including nursing, aides, equipment, and medications.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
