About The Position

Join a specialized, close-knit cardiothoracic surgery team where nurses play a central role in guiding patients through their care journey. In this clinic-based role, you will build strong relationships with patients and serve as their primary point of contact as they move through consult, surgery planning, and monitoring. Requirements

  • RN license to work in Wisconsin
  • Minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Minimum 1 year RN experience
  • Cardiology knowledge required

Responsibilities

  • Manage phone triage, in-basket messages, and patient communication
  • Partner with providers during clinic consults to support care planning and surgical readiness
  • Assist with surgical scheduling, including coordinating pre-operative testing and delivering patient education
  • Conduct post-operative follow-up calls to assess recovery and address patient needs
  • Serve as a consistent point of contact during the surgical journey
  • Support patients in the Aortic Surveillance Program
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, including lung conference
