About The Position

Join a specialized, close-knit cardiothoracic surgery team where nurses play a central role in guiding patients through their care journey. In this clinic-based role, you will build strong relationships with patients and serve as their primary point of contact as they move through consult, surgery planning, and monitoring. Requirements

RN license to work in Wisconsin
Minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 1 year RN experience
Cardiology knowledge required

Responsibilities

Manage phone triage, in-basket messages, and patient communication
Partner with providers during clinic consults to support care planning and surgical readiness
Assist with surgical scheduling, including coordinating pre-operative testing and delivering patient education
Conduct post-operative follow-up calls to assess recovery and address patient needs
Serve as a consistent point of contact during the surgical journey
Support patients in the Aortic Surveillance Program
Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, including lung conference
