About The Position
The Registered Nurse provides direct nursing care in accordance with the healthcare organization’s established policies, procedures, and protocols. The role is based in Cardiology Specialists of Birmingham at UAB St. Vincent’s Birmingham and requires the ability to travel to satellite locations. The schedule is four days per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Requirements
- BLS Provider certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, obtained within 30 days of hire or job transfer.
- Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credential from the Alabama Board of Nursing, obtained before hire or job transfer.
- Diploma from an accredited school or college of nursing.
- Professional nursing licensure at the time of hire.
- Ability to travel to satellite locations.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established organizational policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
- Coordinate care across disciplines to support well-coordinated patient care.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
