About The Position

Requirements

  • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado
  • Completion of an accredited nursing program (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Demonstrated experience in direct patient care and medical/surgical nursing.
  • Strong knowledge of patient safety protocols and infection control standards.
  • Direct patient care and nursing care skills are fundamental to daily responsibilities, enabling you to assess and respond to patient needs effectively.
  • Patient education skills are essential for empowering patients and their families to manage health conditions and adhere to treatment plans.
  • Expertise in wound care and telemetry allows you to provide specialized interventions and monitor critical patient parameters accurately.
  • Patient advocacy skills ensure that you represent and protect patient interests within the healthcare team, promoting ethical and patient-centered care.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
  • Advanced certifications such as Certified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (CMSRN) or Pediatric Nursing Certification.
  • Experience with telemetry monitoring and cardiac care units.
  • Previous work experience as a Nurse Practitioner or in a similar advanced nursing role.
  • Training or certification in wound care management.
  • Experience as a Nurse Practitioner and pediatric nursing enhance your ability to deliver comprehensive care across different patient populations and clinical scenarios.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care by assessing patient conditions, administering medications, and monitoring vital signs.

  • Monitor patients using telemetry equipment to detect cardiac and respiratory irregularities.
  • Advocate for patient rights and needs within the healthcare team to ensure optimal care delivery.
  • Deliver nursing care in medical and surgical units, adapting to the specific needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with nurse practitioners and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care plans.
