About The Position
The Registered Nurse provides care and full care coordination for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes. The role supports three residential homes across San Diego County, within The Arc of San Diego’s network of nine ICF-DD-H residential facilities. The nurse advocates for clients, observes their rights and best interests, and helps them live fulfilling and independent lives.
Requirements
- Active California Registered Nurse license.
- At least 6 months of hands-on experience working with people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
- Valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Strong observation skills and critical-thinking ability.
Nice To Haves
- Experience using electronic case management systems such as Therap.
- Previous experience providing in-home care in an individual or group setting.
- Experience working with people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
Responsibilities
- Conduct physical and nutrition assessments.
- Develop individual health care plans.
- Provide case management support.
- Oversee clients’ specialty appointments.
- Review pharmacy and medications.
- Review psychiatric and mental health care.
- Schedule and attend coordinated client service planning meetings.
- Provide care coordination and advocate for clients’ rights and best interests.
