About The Position
We are excited to be opening a new unit! The General Adult Unit is a nationally and internationally recognized program for the treatment of individuals with a variety of mental health conditions. Our program utilizes an intensive multi-disciplinary treatment approach through individual therapy, milieu therapy, and process-oriented, experiential, and psycho-educational group therapies.
Requirements
- Must possess a current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Maryland (or compact state) at time of appointment and continuously while in position.
- Candidates residing in a compact state may apply with a multistate license and must obtain a Maryland RN license within 60 days of relocation.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a psychiatric nursing setting preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform a full range of professional psychiatric nursing services, including assessing, planning, administering, and evaluating patient care in accordance with team treatment plans.
- Administer medical treatment as prescribed by physician.
- Teach and provide psychosocial support to patients and their families.
- Provide day-to-day clinical direction to assigned Mental Health Workers or other paraprofessional staff.
- Document and report patient progress to treatment team.
