About The Position

Sierra Sage Treatment Center is a residential treatment program for young women that provides a safe, supportive and nurturing environment. The program serves vulnerable young women who are referred from juvenile courts and social service agencies both locally and across the country. The youth enter the program with a history of abuse, neglect, trauma, substance abuse, mental illness and violence. They graduate from Sierra Sage as educated young women who have overcome challenges and have demonstrated making healthy choices for themselves and for their future. Rite of Passage is a leading national provider of programs and opportunities for troubled and at-risk youth from social services, welfare agencies and juvenile courts. With an emphasis on evidence-based practices and positive skill development, combined with our supportive and therapeutic approach, our organization is respected by industry experts as a highly effective solution for our youth. Requirements

  • Empathetic, patient, and treat others with respect.
  • Possess a current Registered Nursing license from the state in which employed.
  • A minimum of two years of medical-surgical experience.
  • A desire to work with troubled teens.
  • Able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating the daily activity of the medical department.
  • Ensuring adherence to the healthcare guidelines.
  • Implementing safety standards for the youth.
  • Managing the students care according to their needs.
  • Delegating medical services for students to other licensed staff.
  • Assisting medical, psychiatric, and dental providers on-site and/or telehealth.
