About The Position

The Registered Nurse will work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care in a compassionate and supportive environment. The ideal candidate will have clinical experience in women's health or obstetrics/gynecology and a commitment to providing exceptional care to women throughout all stages of life.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required
  • Current unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Arizona.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical experience in obstetrics, gynecology, or women's health nursing.
  • BLS and ACLS certification required
  • Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to make independent nursing judgments.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care and promoting women's health and wellness.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
  • Certification in obstetric or gynecologic nursing (e.g., RNC-OB, WHNP-BC) preferred.
  • NRP certification preferred for labor and delivery nursing.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' health status, including medical history, vital signs, and physical examinations.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patients' needs, preferences, and treatment goals.
  • Assist physicians and nurse practitioners with clinical procedures, examinations, and treatments related to obstetrics, gynecology, and women's health.
  • Administer medications, injections, and immunizations as ordered by healthcare providers.
  • Provide patient education and counseling on topics such as prenatal care, family planning, contraception, menopause, and women's health maintenance.
  • Offer guidance and support to patients and their families regarding healthcare decisions and treatment options.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including nursing assessments, care plans, progress notes, and documentation of patient education and counseling.
  • Ensure compliance with documentation standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Advocate for patients' rights, preferences, and needs within the healthcare system, ensuring respectful and patient-centered care.
  • Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and families facing challenging healthcare situations.
  • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare team members, including physicians, nurse practitioners, medical assistants, and support staff.
  • Communicate relevant patient information, care plans, and treatment outcomes to healthcare team members in a clear and concise manner.
