About The Position

Sentara CarePlex Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Medical/Surgical Cardiac Unit. This is a 24-bed Medical/Surgical Stroke unit where patients are cared for on telemetry monitoring. Patients are admitted to determine the next step in their care, which may include a cardiac cath, transfer to the heart hospital for surgery, or diagnostic tests like a stress test or echocardiogram. The primary duties include assessing/admitting patients, rounding checks, administering medications, communicating with family members, and being responsible for the overall care of patients. Teamwork is exceptional, with everyone working together to ensure the best care for patients. New graduates are welcome to apply and should ask the recruiter about the new grad sign-on bonus.

Requirements

Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire
RN-Associate’s Degree, or RN-Bachelor’s Degree, or RN-Diploma, or RN-Master’s Degree
