AGAPE is looking to hire a Registered Nurse Full-Time. We will train the Registered Nurse on EHR. We love, respect and support our staff members. Requirements

  • Current Florida State Registered Nurse License
  • Minimum of an Associates in Nursing
  • Any combination of education, training, and experience with demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities as described including related work experience
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and switch tasks quickly
  • Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written
  • Ability to use good judgment in sensitive situations and maintain confidentiality

Responsibilities

  • Administers medication to clients as per MARS; update and document inventory and notation on clients notes as applicable. Discharge medication on a monthly basis, and sign report with witness.
  • Administer and read purified protein derivative (PPD) skin tests as ordered by the physician or practitioner and notify the of the results to physician or staff member. PPD skin test is completed on all clients and staff members.
  • Conducts drug test, pregnancy test, and blood work, if applicable.
  • Interview patients to obtain medical history and medication use and measure their vital signs, which include height, weight, body mass index (BMI), pulse, oxygen levels, blood pressure, and blood glucose, if applicable, etc.
  • Data entry of intake notes, Sick Call, nurse’s notes, vital signs into patients’ electronic health record (EHR).
  • Document daily vitals twice a day and monthly weight checks.
  • Maintain the sanitation of the consultation room and medical instruments using Agency approved germicidal cleaning supplies.
  • Documents all appropriate observations and treatments in keeping with Agency policies and procedures.
  • Identifies client care requirements by establishing personal rapport. Understands the care needs of the clients.
  • Resolves client problems and needs by utilizing Sick Call procedures daily.
  • Receive medication from pharmacy and enter in EHR system per client in residential program.
  • Administrator outpatient client medication, as needed.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Protects clients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.
  • Documents client care services by charting in client and department records on a daily basis.
  • Maintains client confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA Standards.
  • Maintains nursing supply inventory by checking and documenting monthly stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies; using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Maintains a cooperative relationship among treatment team members by communicating information; responding to requests; building rapport; participating in team problem-solving methods, attend Morning Meetings and Treatment team meetings.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by Residential Supervisor and others.
