About The Position
OR RN in a 4-room ambulatory/general OR serving adolescents, adults and geriatrics. Must circulate and manage cases across gynecology, podiatry, orthopedic/spine, general surgery, vascular, plastics, ophthalmology, endoscopy and urology.
Requirements
- Experience with orthopedic procedures including ACL reconstruction, arthroscopy, fracture reduction, laminectomy/discectomy, spinal fusion and total joint replacement.
- Proficiency in blood administration.
- Proficiency in cardiac monitoring.
- Proficiency in conscious sedation monitoring.
- Knowledge of infection control.
- Knowledge of laser/radiation safety.
- Proficiency in specimen handling.
- Proficiency in IV starts.
- Knowledge of universal protocol.
- Proficiency in Foley catheterization.
- Proficiency in wound management.
- Ability to respond to emergency/code situations.
- Proficiency in malignant hyperthermia management.
Responsibilities
