About The Position

The Registered Nurse provides autonomous, comprehensive dialysis care to patients in a six-chair skilled nursing facility dialysis den. The RN is responsible for the ongoing care of each patient, including assessing patient needs, making sound treatment decisions, troubleshooting, developing and implementing care plans, and helping ensure dialysis treatment stays on track. The RN independently delivers best-practice dialysis care, supervises Dialysis Technicians providing tandem care, and may coordinate care with skilled nursing facility staff. Patient and family education is also an important part of the role. The work is clinically complex and requires multitasking, critical thinking, and attention to patient outcomes while supporting the needs of patients and skilled nursing facility partners. The position is expected to work three days per week with no on-call. The primary assignment is described at Haven Sky Harbor, with flexibility to support other local DaVita skilled nursing facility dialysis locations as needed. Local dens are in Scottsdale, Phoenix, and Goodyear. Dens operate Monday through Saturday and may treat up to three shifts of patients per day, depending on census; start times are typically around 5 a.m. but may vary. DaVita provides paid dialysis training and describes opportunities for continued nursing career development, including clinical, leadership, operational, corporate, integrated care, and clinical research paths.
